Every lot is tested with handheld XRF analyzers at intake and again before loading. Molybdenum content instantly distinguishes 316 from 304, and magnetic sorting rejects any 400-series material. A PMI summary accompanies each shipment.
316 carries 2–3% molybdenum for superior corrosion resistance and commands a premium. 304 is the workhorse austenitic grade. Buying them pre-separated lets you charge exact chemistries without dilution or re-sorting costs.
