HMS 1 (ISRI 200) is steel at least 6mm thick — denser, cleaner melting with less oxidation loss. HMS 2 (ISRI 201) is lighter gauge from 3mm. Mills buy blends like 80:20 to balance furnace efficiency and cost. We ship any ratio you specify.
Loose-loaded into 20ft containers by magnet (±25–27 MT each), or via bulk vessel for large contracts. Every load crosses a calibrated weighbridge and the certificate is included in your shipping documents.
Thicker pieces melt with lower oxidation loss and fewer impurities per ton, improving yield and slag control. That's why we enforce the 6mm/3mm minimums and keep contamination under 1%.
